I can't recommend Purdie Worldwide mover enough. From the initial call, subsequent communications to the actual removal. They were fantastic. We had two men who turned up on the day of our move. They packed up their vans promptly, gave me their number and said to meet them at the new property at the pre arranged time. The move into the new place was fantastic. Each item brought in, was placed in their respective room. Every item treated with care. A brilliant job done.

The worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. Avoid at all costs if you actually value your possessions. A large portion of our expensive furniture is damaged through carelessness & is less than a year old. When trying to claim it through the insurance company set by Purdies they try to scam you by offering next to nothing for your items, but will be quick to offer a higher amount with a ‘salvage’ option on the table. Why are we bargaining over MY furniture that YOU damaged? Beyond furious - read the 1 star reviews on here they are completely accurate. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
Used by house developer through no choice of my own. Caused £2800 worth of damage and offered £700 cash as compensation, Used expensive cushions to pack vases into boxes. Packed damp towels with other perishables. Piled rugged wooden bed support slats on a £1600 arm chair. Claims company used by Purdie will value your items at “second hand value” which is as low as 15% of the purchased cost on some items. Sales tactics negotiating and bargaining over the cost of MY furniture. DO NOT USE. Disgusting.
My removers were efficient, courteous, and removed all my belongings in a speedy but careful manner,and at the other end placed my furniture where it should go perfectly, I could not fault their work. Also may I say from first contacting purdies to do my removal the reception and office staff were great guiding me through preparing the contract so that all my household goods and furniture was known to the removers, and were able to change removal date at short notice. Will use purdies again as I have in the past. My first choice for any house removal.
I used Purdie for work & will not use the company again. Two items were left behind at Auchterarder which i had to retrieve and deliver myself. At the delivery site in Aberdeen, the items were dumped when they were supposed to be laid out as per what was lifted. One of the painting were also damaged. I do not recommend using them.
Craig and his team were very friendly, helpful and efficient making moving from one house to another in a day stress free. Obtaining the quote via a video call was easy and the office staff were helpful when collecting packing materials. I would highly recommend their service.
We found Purdies excellent from the outset. In particular the men who did the removal were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. They also kept my husband in check when he was doing too much. We would have no hesitation in using purdies again or recommending them to others.

Broke all my tvs took them out in the pouring rain causing water damage as not wrapped up not even bubble wrapped while in storage for 6 months, lost all fittments for my beds, then the guy put my suite back togther forced it down to far and blew the recliner wire and burst the metal bracket, they took beds down and lost fittments not one bed was wrapped in bubble wrap as i asked as its velvet sude beds and they are marked with being pushed along the van floor, broke my fridge freezer as it was handled to many times and they broke the element of the back of it. Its also dented where they moved it back into the van across the wooden floor of van to hard, i have cctv of them walking in pouring rain and tvs getting wet not one would work after they took them in the rain and nether wherevthe bubble wrapped somall the van elements and particuals where inside the scart ports and covered in soot he tv repair man wrote a receipt for water damage, been called a liar. The bed fittments are for handmade beds that cant just be put back togther and the wooden pannel in middle was halfed in too while it sat in the rain aswell. Tvs i have all videos of blue screens and not turning on, my suite is hanging to one side and metal broke all pictures been sent but there not good enouh, no tvs since xmas kids not played there computrs, beds given from an authority to sleep on and a suite from an authority to sit on, kids left there home due to flooding and then came back to more damage after no care was given to our stuff in stourage where it was moved 2 x and left in the rain, my goods are useless and they will not admit liability, after all cctv and photo eveidence and the guy admots he put the suite back togther i cant dont even no how it came apart as they done it. An independent reviewer to come when noone can come to the house due to my ill health. But theyve said if i dont agree i will not be eligable because i dont let come see the damage, The suite could have killed my son, and the tvs are in the repair shop still and we have to keep broken beds in a house until theybreview them wherevwould we sleep the roof, Sad times i have worked hard in my home and they are making me feel like am lying its all there on cctv and more. And a new fridge freezer from a local authority. I put my stuff in storage and called the exact same day they delivered it and told them about the damage it took them weeks to tell me about an independent review and i had to lie on broken beds which is impossible and a suite that could kill us after bad workmanship, how am i even wrong in any of this ey of this. No stars would have been given Not one tv wrapped in anything and when they bring stuff out its not even wrapped it was pouring down left wood aswell behind bin.

I was extremely disappointed with the lack of information given at time of booking storage with Purdie Worldwide. I booked over the phone and at no point was I told that this storage facility had no lift and that larger storage units are located on the first floor. When moving out of the storage unit, I tried to organise some Porter support to help with larger items - 3 large items, a sofa and two wardrobes. The quote initially offered was fantastic however when I called back to book (within 1 hour of initial enquiry) the price had almost doubled. I was told that I had been miss-quoted. In my opinion the revised quote was excessive. I required around 20 minutes of assistance that they were unfortunately unable to offer. At 8 months pregnant, I literally cried. I felt that that they were unsupportive about the initial miss-quote. Their opening hours and access to storage are well advertised however in my opinion they are tricky to work around with a full time job. The unit itself was secure and safe. My belongings came to no harm. The accessibility of storage was a real challenge for me personally and my recommendation for others booking would be to ensure you are aware of the location of your storage unit and of the lack of lift services prior to formalising your booking.

I found them to be polite, friendly & extremely professional. The weather really was awful & the guys were soaked through but not once did they complain & just got on with the job. As a result, the containers were unloaded in a timely fashion. Furniture removal and return
Furniture put into storage for 5 days when it was returned could not get immediate access to property as cleaners were in. Rather than leaving furniture in van until cleaners finished our furniture was put on front path until cleaners were finished. Very unprofessional service.

Brilliant, fantastic, amazing! We were so pleased with our move. It was stress free and smooth. There was a slight issue with the way the baby grande piano was put back together in our new property, but when we called up, the boss came to our house within an hour or so and fixed it himself! We did our homework before booking Matt Purdie & Sons, and found them to be really reasonably priced for such a quality service. Will definitely use them again if we ever move!

My mums just told me that she still has to pay 400 for cancelling late with you. Worst experience
They did not arrange large enough van to collect my items which caused a three hour wait for another van. This is despite someone coming out and surveying the property beforehand. The second van arrived with someone else's belongings in it. We were not moved into our new house until 9pm. Removal men kept moaning they wanted to go to the pub and my husband did a lot of the loading and unloading himself. I now have discovered missing items and have been given different stories each time I call and now being told that although I took out their insurance it was only valid for 7 days. Out of pocket and angry!
Brilliant, fantastic, amazing! We were so pleased with our move. It was stress free and smooth. There was a slight issue with the way the baby grande piano was put back together in our new property, but when we called up, the boss came to our house within an hour or so and fixed it himself! We did our homework before booking Matt Purdie & Sons, and found them to be really reasonably priced for such a quality service. Thanks to all the lads from Blackburn, West Lothian that moved us on Friday!! Great service!! Due to a delay getting a key to the new place extra guys turned up to help us unload. Can't fault at all. I have had the most wonderful experience with Matt Purdie today! Shug and Mike were truly fantastic and made what could have been a stressful event so easy! I could not recommend them more. Thank you so much for today. Your 4 men were fantastic, took perfect care of all our things, dismantled and rebuilt beds was a god send. Although we only moved 15 houses up the street it might well have been 15 miles as we had to be out by 12 and we were in the dot. To go the extra mile and even have 2 men push a old fashioned iron turnstyle up the street as it was too heavy to lift on to the truck was amazing. Poor service. Guys turned up to take goods into storage and i was told i was limited to how much stuff they would take into storage so a lot of stuff was left behind and had to go to the tip because there was no other way of moving or storing the goods. Turns out what the guys said was total rubbish.Got a phone call last week from Matt Purdie & Sons to say they were busy at the weekend but goods would be delivered to the new address Monday / Tuesday and they would call to … See morePoor service. Used them 4 years ago, and when all my furniture was moved to new hone I had a brand new sofa with holes in it dinning chair with holes in it and when I contacted them the woman on the other end had nothing but bad attitude and was very dismissive wish I had pursued the issue. I cannot fault the removal men they did a great job. But beware if you get into difficulty with storage costs... On the instructions of Ms AUDREY SMILLIE all my family photographs of my Wedding, Children's birthday's ect, Parents & Grand Parents!
