Grays Storage and Removals LTD were established in 1977 in Essex and have built up an excellent reputation for providing a first class storage and relocation service in London and the Home Counties. We can give you support and advice covering all aspects of your move, whether your relocation is straightforward or you require a more specialised service (such as piano removal).
Safe storage facilities you can rely on
In addition to offering a first-rate removals service, we also offer a containerised storage service. Whether you require short-term storage or a long-term storage solution, this is an ideal option if you have items to that you don’t currently have space for in your home or business premises.
For your added convenience we can transport the items you wish to put into storage from their current location to our secure storage facilities, where we will hold them till you need them again.
We are fully insured and are members of B.A.R (British Association of Removers) and an approved Checkatrade trader, so you can have peace of mind that you are in safe hands when choosing Grays Storage and Removals.
Our industry experience means we can cater for any size removal project, from small one bedroom flats to large detached homes.
Due largely to our excellent reputation, the business has grown over the years and expansion has seen the opening of our first removal office in central London, in the very fashionable Shoreditch.
Going forward, we intend to build on what we have achieved to date, continue to deliver a first rate customer experience to our storage and removals customers across London and the Home Counties.

We have recently used Man & Van service from this company to move a 1-bedroom flat, and the crew did an excellent work! The whole process of loading, moving and unloading took less than two hours, the staff showed up on time and was very polite and professional, all our possessions were moved safely and no damage was caused to the flats, lifts or the communal areas. I would also like to point out a couple of nice extras included: provided quilts to wrap and protect furniture and the walls from the accidental damage, and also giving us a lift to the new address in a separate car. I would highly recommend them for any removal services!

Excellent service. Very friendly and made the move extremely stress free and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Emptied our 4 bedroom flat within only a couple of hours and had good spirits the whole time.

Grays recently moved a relative it was a tricky emotional move. The team were absolutely amazing. They were professional, kind, helpful and extremely good at their jobs. Thank you for making it less stressful.
These guys helped us move a 2 bed top-floor into a 3 bed house. They turned up 2 weeks before with all the boxing / packing bits. On the morning they were there early, extremely cheery, and in less than 2 hours we had said goodbye to them from our new place and were unboxing on our own. First time I have used a mover and couldn't recommend them more highly.
Each and every one of the staff at Grays Storage were very friendly, competent, careful with our belongings, hard-working, and respectful to the utmost. They consistently went out of their way to make sure all our belongings were packed properly, moved carefully, stored well, and handled with the same care as if it was their own property. They moved our items from a fifth floor apartment in East London to a very budget-friendly storage for two months before moving our items again to a 17th floor flat in West London once our new apartment was ready. We cannot thank them enough for having been so friendly and careful with our belongings, for making our lives so much easier during a very stressful time in our lives, and for always projecting a positive, can-do attitude with a smile. Hands down the best move I've ever had! Completely stress free! The team was considerate and careful ensuring all my belongings were handled with the utmost care. They even dissembled my sofa and assembled it again but didn't charge me extra. The team were extremely polite - asked me if they should go buy me a tea while I was waiting for them to move my stuff.. So kind!!! They arrived on time and were done in no time. They even gave me a lift to the new flat.. If I ever have to move again there's only one moving company I would chose.. I can wholeheartedly recommend this team.. Absolute moving legends..

Don\'t think twice, use Grays
We moved from London to Bournemouth recently and I was very impressed with the service from Grays. From enquiry, to quote, to packing, moving into storage and back out again, nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. Everyone was so helpful and everything was done so speedily. We used the packing service as well as the removals and we were amazed at how quickly and professionally everything was packed up. Likewise with the removals. We lived in a tenth floor flat and had some large, awkward sofas to move. Even these did not stump the team. Moving is stressful enough as it is, but Grays makes the experience a lot less stressful and a lot more pleasurable. Use Grays, you won't regret it.
Amazing experience
Grays helped my partner and I move from 2 separate flats into one place, it went like a dream! Everything from getting it organised with Tricia in advance to the moving day itself was easy and well looked after.The guys on the day were amazing - really friendly, careful and efficient. It took less time than we had planned for and everything was moved in perfect condition. What we thought would be a stressful day turned out to actually be really fun and easy thanks to the team. They took care of everything and it was a lovely day, we would highly recommend them. 10000/10!

Room swap
I am having to repurpose my home following my husband's stroke so needed furniture in two rooms swapping over. A small job but undertaken efficiently and charmingly and it has made a massive difference to us. The team had to take a tv off the wall and they cleaned up the dust which came from that. They only charged for the time taken to do the job - other firms quoted for a minimum number of hours. Would recommend and use again should the need arise.
100% recommend
Grays were fantastic for our house move last month. We contacted them at short notice and they were still flexible for times and dates. They ended up moving our stuff over two days which made the whole process far less stressful and took great care with everything despite working quickly. Lovely bunch of guys and couldn’t fault their work. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Gray’s removal
I recently moved and Gray’s made it the most seamless moving day I’ve ever had. After previous bad experiences they were recommended to me by a friend so I booked with them. After having to move my moving date due to delayed completion the team were very reasonable and re-booked my move quickly without any trouble. Movers arrived prompt, introduced themselves, were extremely professional, friendly and efficient. It couldn’t have gone better, couldn’t recommend more.
Great service from Grays Storage and Removals
Robert and his team provided a great service. They carefully packed all our belongings and labelled all boxes clearly. On the day of the removal, all went as planned and I felt very reassured by Robert’s guidance - they have clearly been in the business for a long time. Due to a delay in completion monies moving through the banking system, Robert and his team had to wait 4 hours before they could unload meaning that they did not finish until after 7pm. Despite this, they all remained cheerful and professional and were a pleasure to be around. I would definitely recommend Grays Storage and Removal and we will use them again if we move in the future.
Excellent service
Moved just over a week ago with Grays and they were amazing. Kept me well informed about what was happening when, were reassuring, v efficient at packing, loading and unloading. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them (or use them again, if I ever move again)

Professional & helpful removals team
I recently used the services of Grays Removals for a relocation from east London to Surrey. From the beginning everyone I came in contact with was professional, approachable and helpful from the first in-site quotation and later reassessment, to Tricia advising me and holding dates for me, to the removal team on removal day. They were friendly, professional and fast! I’m very glad to have used their services in what was an otherwise stressful process and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I cannot recommend Grays enough. The organisation and helpfulness with everything from start to finish was excellent. Tricia organised everything for us very easily and the boys who did the move were brilliant and conscientious on what was a bit of a mad day. We will absolutely use their fantastic services again.

Can't recommend highly enough.Robert, Tricia and all the team were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were supportive, a pleasure to deal with and unbelievably efficient and good and what they do. We decided to use them for packing, removals, storage (for two weeks) and then moving to our new place. All of our items were moved with the utmost care and have arrived without issue. The team navigated the narrow staircases of our new place with ease and, without fuss, carefully dismantled larger furniture to take it to the correct rooms and then built it back together again (in some cases, better than it was before). Having a one year old and little time to move myself, the team saved me and my wife a world of stress.I'll happily recommend Grays to all friends looking for removals in the future.

I'm so glad I had Grays recommended - we hadn't moved in over 20 years and were quite stressed. But nothing was a problem and everybody was very helpful from Tricia in the office to Robert and his team on the day. I'm not going to move again in a hurry, but if I was I would happily use Grays again!

From start to finish, Grays made our move go smoothly and I would not hesitate to recommend them. They were friendly (clearly a family business with pride in delivering the best service), careful and enthusiastic and nothing was too much trouble for them. All the guys were very friendly and helpful. The job itself was done very quickly and efficiently. Couldn't have gone better I'd say. The option to have some stuff taken to storage was ideal for me
