Franklins Removals did a fantastic job for a part removal from Germany to London. The items included a piano and a model train set. Lee and Daz were incredibly hard working and did a great job wrapping, protecting and securing the delicate items. I was very impressed how quickly they managed to move the items in and out of the vehicle; they were extremely efficient and despite the very hard work always friendly. The office support from Bev was also great – from the quote to all the questions around paperwork and import duties. I can highly recommend the company and would definitely use them again if needed.
I have moved a lot in my life, both internally and internationally, so have some experience with variety of movers. I moved from Cambridge to Heilbronn, Germany in May with Franklins. It was agreed that all our good to be dismantled, wrapped and assembled by them. Despite being professional and good communication, Franklins didn't make a good dismantling and wrapping. They actually almost didn't dismantle much of my stuff although I strictly asked for complete dismantling and wrapping. Besides, they either wrapped very cheaply or didn't wrap at all. Neverthess, things arrived almost without any damage. So, if you don't have any cleanliness concerns and happy that your sofas and goods can be moved and stayed in their warehouse exposed to dust, dirt, mud, go ahead and hire them. In addition to that, they couldn't tell me which day they will be delivering until to the very same day (Guess they are expecting you to wait at home for them). Then they insisted on bringing the goods at 9PM, which I wanted to reject a few times due to peace hours here in Germany. So, again, if you are happy to be squeezed to their work schedule even if it is at 9PM, go ahead and hire them. I gave 2 stars, because the movers were quite friendly and almost no damage to my goods.
Franklins Removals moved us from the UK to France (well actually to 2 places, one stop off in the UK ...and the rest to France). They were great from beginning to end. A special thank you to Lee and Daz that did the heavy lifting when offloading our possessions in France. They were friendly and very efficient. I did move from Frankfurt, Germany to London, UK and had to move all my belongings of my flat on short notice. I can fully recommend Franklins Removals, the communication was seamless as well as the organization. There was no damaged good at all despite it was quite some stuff to move, also no scratches on the walls at all (besides two scratches which was caused by myself trying to help..). Especially the movers, Lee and Dave, were super professionally and very nice and trustful persons. The whole process was super fast despite the stairs to my new home were extremely narrow and steep.
Excellent service from Franklins for a part load from Birmingham to France. Everything was carefully handled, well wrapped and protected, as well as secured in transit. The delivery team, Lee and George were very helpful and extremely hard-working. No damage to any of the items, nor the house when moving the furniture in. Worth noting that the lorry was very well equipped with the appropriate ramps etc, so it all felt very safe. Also special mention to Bev in the office, who was very efficient and happily answered my many questions. Franklins also sorted out the import tax, providing all the necessary forms and costings. Would thoroughly recommend.
Franklin's did a superb job for me, moving all my worldly goods from Dundee to a village on top of a mountain in the south of France. At every stage, from initial inquiry to final delivery, the service offered was prompt, polite and effective. Special thanks must go to Lee and George who did the heavy lifting up and down tiny cobbled streets, remaining good-humoured and even-tempered in circumstances that often proved challenging! I recommend Franklin's wholeheartedly.
We moved from the UK to France with Franklins in 2021 and the service was pretty good. But a recent move back to the UK was awful, from start to finish. They changed the pick-up date, causing us to rearrange our plans at short notice. They then arrived late for pick-up after an accident. After that, they were late with our delivery back in the UK, causing us expensive hotel fees that they refused to reimburse. And finally, they damaged our furniture in transit and handed that off to an insurance company that have refunded us pittance against the real value of the goods... I wouldn't recommend them anytime soon.
A massive thank you to your guys Dave, Fraser and Tobias who did an incredible job in getting us moved to our new home. They were friendly and helpful from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble , they certainly reduced the stress of a big day! We would have no hesitation in recommending you guys. Moved house with Franklins last week and would highly recommend them. Simon, Adam and Lewis were fantastic. They arrived promptly and were super efficient. They worked tirelessly in the pouring rain all day and still retained a sense of humour! They were really careful with our belongings, no damage whatsoever. Thank you so much, you made a challenging day a whole lot easier :)

They were highly professional and nothing was too much trouble. Their attention to detail and loading skills were remarkable and they showed us and our belongings the greatest respect. We used Franklin’s for our removal yesterday. Dave, Lewis, Tobias and Simon were all amazing. They made what could have been a really stressful day stress free for us. They worked so hard and took care moving us. I felt confident they would complete the job to an amazing standard and they proved this by the end of the day. I was recommended to use Franklin’s after my aunt and grandad moved using them earlier this year, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. David and Karl were the utmost professionals, they were super patient and careful with moving everything, disassembled and reassembled everything in record time, and we’re especially helpful in lifting a washing machine to the other side of a very narrow galley kitchen! My partner is moving next week and they are already booked in with them for the move. 5 stars, would definitely use them again!
I can’t recommend Franklins highly enough. Their price was competitive, communications speedy and effective. We had difficult access at both ends of our move, both were handled brilliantly. The drivers were professional and speedy. If you need a move to France I’d recommend Franklins, if I need any future items moved to France I’ll be using them again.
It had been 27 years since our last house move so was a bit worried about it. From my first call to Franklins, Emma was very reassuring and professional. She was able to answer all my questions. Ben came to do the survey and we had a very competitively priced quote. He was also able to advise us about how to transport more fragile items. The quote included lots of boxes and packing materials. On the day of the move they arrived early and Gary and Pete carefully packed our mirrors and big pictures. The carpets were covered with blankets and Lewis, Tobias and Fraser had the whole house and garage contents in the van in about 2 hours. They worked really hard and I was impressed with the care they took with our stuff. They were really professional and polite. When we got to our new house they put all our labelled boxes in the right places and made sure we were happy before they left. Special thanks to Tobias for trying to help me find the broadband router that I later found in the car! I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again if I ever move in the future.
Sorry taken so long for this review but better late than never. I would like to thank Franklins for the excellent service I received. From start to finish my move from S/W France to UK went without a hitch and with their guidance the TOR forms etc for returning to UK were eventually completed They kept in touch and their removal men Simon & Michael were brilliant in every respect professional yet extremely friendly and helpful I cannot fault any of the service I received.Their moving rates are very competitive and did not change from the outset.I would thoroughly recommend Franklins for any removal whether overseas or local.
Franklins Removals were excellent from start to finish. They quoted a reasonable price and were very flexible on delivery from the UK to France with a part load. Simon & the driver couldn't have been any better, especially in the extreme French heat! We can definitely recommend this company
We're so pleased that we've chosen Franklins for our move from the UK to France. The three-man team who moved our stuff from London into storage have been exceptional. So glad we used Franklins. They collected and delivered on time, without any fuss or worries and did us a big favour with early collection and storage. They have been efficient and friendly. Micheal and Simon were exceptional on delivery, on time, calm, capable and skilled in driving and manoeuvring the lorry. We had a worry free move, 5 stars!
Franklins removals staff were very patient, kind, intelligent and supportive of our move. We really appreciated their patience answering all our queries before and during the move. They worked very well as a team, with their communication and efforts all co-ordinated in a timely manner. Their staff treated us, our belongings, our homes and our circumstances with respect, thoughtfulness and care. The removals staff were super strong and efficient at their work. The vehicle was in good condition, loaded in a tidy and orderly manner, the vehicle was perfect size for our removal. I recently hired Franklins Removals for the removal of my mum's holiday apartment in the Alps back to the UK. My initial telephone chat with Emma was very friendly and reassuring, and subsequent email correspondence with Ben was prompt and thorough. Michael and Simon were our onsite removal team and provided us with an extremely professional, friendly and speedy service. They communicated well in advance regarding their estimated arrival time and not even an unexpected snowfall delayed their schedule. They even braved the weather with shorts! All in all, a remarkably stress-free experience. Not what you would usually expect from any type of move :) Many thanks to all the Franklins team.
We hired Franklin's removals to move our belongings as we were relocating from the UK to central France. Their quote was very reasonable. I was sent forms to complete and typed up an inventory so Franklin's could deal with customs for me. Michael and Lee contacted me when the arrived in France to give me an ETA. They arrived on time and got straight to work. They were friendly, efficient, well organised and took great care with our possessions. I have already recommended Franklin's removals to others looking to make the same move soon. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
