Cannot rate this company highly enough. They relocated me long distance to Wales last week. The three men who arrived were professional, friendly and genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful. They made what I expected to be an incredibly stressful day far easier than I thought it would be. Very good value and wouldn’t hesitate In recommending this company.
Utterly dreadful. Don't use these guys. Their lorry had a brakes failure on the motorway - presumably poor maintenance, and we were kept waiting for an additional 72 hours for them to deliver our things. They agreed to refund our unscheduled overnight accommodation costs, but have since not responded to any of the emails that we sent. Belongings damaged, and trying to get them to trigger their insurance but they simply refuse to answer any emails or return phone calls.
We were very satisfied with the efficiency of the removal team during our recent move from Lichfield Staffordshire to Southport Merseyside. Sadly one piece of furniture (£400) was damaged cosmetically which is impossible to repair. Having reported it to the Company, their policy is just £50 in this case. Reluctantly we agreed to accept this and provided details of our bank for payment. After 6 weeks and many email reminders no payment has been made. They are now ignoring our emails. Not a good overall impression!
We didn't have a straightforward removal from our flat. We had to cancel the job on one occasion but they were very understanding after listening to our story and arranged a second date. We had to travel 60 miles once it had been packed to offload it in our new home. The lads were all efficient, professional, polite and nothing was too much trouble. They did a fabulous job in difficult circumstances
The team did a fantastic job, from the initial booking to the packing and moving, and taking empty boxes away at the end. Nothing was too much trouble. They were professional, efficient and very friendly – they certainly took the hassle out of the moving process. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a trustworthy removal company who can provide a stress free move.
Cottam and Sons were the unexpected subcontractors used by Pickfords for our move from Milton Keynes to Devon a month ago. Steve and Scott were absolutely brilliant, busting their backs over a 3 day move and full pack/unpack. They were extremely careful with our possessions and very reassuring with items of value. And above all they were super nice lads as well. Highly recommend them.
We had fabulous service from Cotton & Sons this week. They moved my elderly parents from their house to sheltered accommodation. It wasn't easy with a sofa that didn't want to leave the house and the need to use a lift to get to the new flat. The team were really patient and professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone moving house.
We recently booked Cottam and Sons for our move from England to Northern Ireland and we found their service to be great. The packers in England were lovely guys and very efficient and the guys who came over to N.I were also extremely efficient and very helpful. I would definitely book them again, highly recommend!
Cottam & Sons did an excellent job moving us from Birmingham to Devon. The crew, especially Scott and Sean, were incredibly helpful and hard working. There were a few issues confined to management organisation (not supplying the wardrobe boxes and telling the crew that the van would go up our drive when it couldn't) but Sean and Scott worked around these. Would definitely recommend.
Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience, which is a shame as 3 of the 4-man crew worked very hard (and were also friendly and polite). Sadly one team member (I believe he was new to the company) was an absolute liability. He let the entire team down by his behaviour, he was careless, unprofessional and didn’t listen. I ended up calling the office and asking that he not go into our new house. I saw the lack of care when he was throwing our belongings around. Sadly we had a few items damaged in the process. We also ended up with dirty and wet stains on our cream sofa as it wasn’t wrapped properly and the lorry had a leak from the roof (it was raining on the day we moved). I sent an email to the company explaining the above issues and I have had no response in the nearly 2 weeks since. For a company who pride themselves on customer service I think we have received very poor service for a large amount of money. I would think twice when choosing this company, and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend their services to our friends.
I just want to say thank you for the great job that your chaps did in moving us to our new home. They were cheerful, friendly and willing to help. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made our house move very straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company to my friends. A friend, who helped us move, said to me afterwards that when he moves he we definitely will get in contact with you.
Excellent crew who helped us moved. Sorted anything that needed and stayed until 8pm to make sure we were unloaded. Would highly recommend.
An absolute pleasure to deal with Balazs and Robo. Punctual, professional, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic price too.
